appWorks Demo Day #3

DSC09586

Last Friday was a big day for the third class of startups from the Taiwan’s top incubator – appWorks. Every 6 months, when they graduate from appWorks, they demo their startup projects. I graduated from the second class in June this year, it was an interesting and useful experience and I’ll write about this later. (God I’m owing more posts now)

This time, appWorks made the Demo Day even bigger than the last time. They invited over 100 VCs, 200 successful entrepreneurs, 470 tech people, and several media press, along with a live streaming broadcast using UStream(check out the recorded videos).

The Co-Founder/Host of appWorks Jamie(@jamieclin) was the opening speaker, talked about the trend of startups, the teams they incubated (including Bounty Hunter! We’re on the picture) and encourage people to build their startups.

Then it’s the Demo time. I listed some of the startup here.

Basically I didn’t put my review to those startups, coz I haven’t got time to really play all the them. Some of the startups are already earning money and on the way to make a big profit, some of them are still really young. Many of them dosen’t even have a business model. But it doesn’t matter, if the product really solves problems, you don’t need to worry about the business model because it will come really soon.
